Norman Rockwell in pencil, white paper. Emulating a master's work teaches how it's done and why it appears the way it is. It's literally a study. This is my version of Dave Malan's work. He has a superb hatching style that I love. I just learned that they encourage this technique of recreating masters' works at some art schools like TAD.
