100th Sketch

Ball point ink on paper. Did this one to emulate J. Seiler's clean and crisp cross hatching. It happen to be my 100th sketch for this year, and for sure I'll still be counting for more.

Ball point ink on paper. Keith Richards.

Perlman

Ball Point ink on paper. Itzhak Perlman. Had he not been a polio victim he probably wouldn't be what he is now. He's wheelchair brought the best out of him. After the recent death of Yehudi Menuhin and Isaac Stern he is the best living violinist respected worldwide.

Cone headed Englishman

Ink. Sting. I like his music better when he went solo than when he was with the "Police". His music reveals more of himself as a better composer and musician, more mellow and jazzy genre, and more experimental on a lot of elements.

Creme de la creme

Yasha Heifetz. Ball point on paper. Many are saying that he's "emotionless" like a lamp post, rarely make body gesture or facial expression when playing even the toughest phrase ever, yet his rendition is never short of brilliance and technical prowess. That makes him a genius; he always makes it easy and natural to play music. He played the Bazzini like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Nigel

Ball point on paper. Nigel Kennedy, English violinist, Julliard trained, known for his rock star-like stage persona, spiky hair, eccentric clothing, oversized shoes, and ostentatious jewelry; has been making waves for 23 years in classical, rock and jazz world. He earned his respect for his technical finesse and stunningly unique renditions of his music. I used to play violin professionally. My hero.

Some original work

Graphite on paper. I forgot the name of this American actress whose birthday just past few days ago.

Trying to emulate style

Funny Borat

Graphite on paper. This is another inspiration from Dominic Philibert's version. I had a good time doing this because it's just outright funny. I did a little add on this one.

Hitchcock

Graphite on paper. This was inspired by Dominic Philbert version. Honestly, I could not have done it better than this if I would do my own version. I thought that copying them would allow me to study and emulate their style.
